Here’s today’s Holy Nougat ™
and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. 1 Peter 1:4 NLT
Priceless, precious, fortified, genuine. Those are a few of the words which could describe what the Lord has in store for us. And ironically, we can’t cash it in our use it as surety against earthly debts.
Yet it truly is priceless. In fact, Jesus literally bled and died as payment for it. And no one else has the right blood type to replace his. Nor does anyone need to. For it was a one time payment.
Since it’s already ours, we might wish to check on it from time to time. Now that’s the faith factor. We must trust God that our is where we’re told it is. For, Heaven is our lifetime destination, not an occasional vacation spot, when we seek a reprieve from life’s stresses. And it’s our faith, and the outworking of our faith that gets us there.
When the time comes for each of us to access our inheritance, I pray we’ll all be there, rejoicing with the other saints in glory. (It’s not too late to be in on this inheritance eh).
