Hello there
What do you do when you are faced with a task so daunting that your knees quake at the very thought of it? (For some of us, it isn’t so much a task as it is the every pressing existence called Life. There are those in our midst for whom Life, on the whole, is a challenge.)
Today’s Holy Nougat™ invites us to consider an exceptional approach.
Then Moses said, “If you don’t personally go with us, don’t make us leave this place. Exodus 33:15 NLT
Life in Egypt was unbearable. And although his formative years were palace pampered, Moses the liberator was now familiar with life in the pits. He lived on the back-side of the wilderness for 40+ years doing the most menial of tasks as a shepherd. He returned to Egypt, a WANTED man, with a King’s 40-year vendetta riding on his back! One would think that Moses would be ready and raring to lead the Israelites into the Land of God’s Promise.
Not.
He was exceptionally aware that as dangerous as Egypt was for the Israelites’ social and physical welfare, nowhere would be safe unless God was directing the move. It wasn’t so much about being comfortable in their state of drudgery and despair as it was about being utterly and totally submissive to God’s plans and purpose for their lives. It was Fear of the Unknown, morphed into Faith in the Known – God Almighty. It was Trepidation transformed to Trust; without which life was impossible.
Are you willing to take that leap of faith with God? Could your Trepidation be transformed to Trust by putting God at the forefront of your plans and dreams? Would you consider inviting God to lead the Way, by personally accompanying you on this journey called Life, and especially for this leg of Life’s journey? Selah
Thanks for joining us in this Divine feast.
