Hello hello my dear

Greetings to you. What time is it where you are? Had your ablutions already? Here’s today’s Holy Nougat

Moreover, besides being the Messiah, Jesus was The Rabbi; Peter The Disciple. As a fisherman, he might not have been literate but Peter would have had opportunity to be acquainted with social conventions – and masters washing disciples’ feet was NOT part of normal fare.

Peter’s question was therefore very much in order. He was basically double checking that his eyes had not failed him. He was probably even indirectly reprimanding his colleagues- how could you sit silently and allow Jesus to be your servant? And many of us nurse similar ideas.

Others might quickly back off, leaving us languishing with our dirt; but Jesus is still here, waiting. Hear Jesus’ gentle responding ‘If I don’t get to wash the hidden shame/compartments in your life; I cannot claim you as totally mine!’ (verse

What time is it?
