Nougat 16

Blessings to you my dear

It’s often said, When the going gets tough, the Tough get going. However we don’t always subscribe to that principle. As we seek God’s guidance for life’s curve balls, let’s reflect on today’s Holy Nougat™ for insights.

So Pharaoh asked his officials, “Can we find anyone else like this man so obviously filled with the spirit of God?”

Genesis 41:38 NLT

WOW!!! What a recommendation!!!!! We often hear Joseph’s story, yet many of us fail to zero in on this critical element. Even at life’s worst Joseph’s life bore testimony to his God and his Faith.

It’s not that we don’t KNOW this fact, but realizing that the Pharaoh acknowledged Joseph’s faith as exemplary speaks volumes.

More ironic is the fact that the pharaoh was considered a god in his own right. His comment spoke volumes. He recognized YHWH as Supreme God. All because of Joseph’s lived faith.

Let’s suppose it were our boss/adversary sitting in the pharaoh’s vantage point. Would we be found as faithful as

Joseph? Would anyone remember us positively? Betrayed by brothers, played by Potiphar’s wife, and forsaken by the forgetful cupbearer.. I’m really not sure that under those circumstances I’d have been a poster child for the Divine.

But God invites us to be different. With add-on help from the Holy Spirit. It is only then that we might find the capacity to remain focused.

Now the ball is in our court. In times of trials and persecution, how shall we communicate?

In Christ’s love and grace,
