Hark my soul it is the Lord …
Good morning my dears,
A beautiful day to you, wherever you are in the world … Africa, Asia, Australia, the Caribbean, Europe or North America.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat ™
Then the Lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the Lord ? Exodus 4:11 NLT
Talk about frank conversations with the Lord! Can you imagine; being reminded that Ultimate Authority is the Lord’s, and that we are accountable to God. To realise in a very real sense that what we “own” is actually the Lord’s, and we are mere caretakers?
I know, Moses had a slightly different agenda, and this conversation was about Moses’ fear/reluctance to return to Egypt. But nevertheless, it is all about God’s agenda. Whether we obey or not. Not always easily reconciled during the tough times, especially when we grapple with matters of life and death. I won’t justify, but I’ll once again encourage us to be willing to engage YHWH, the Ultimate Authority, in a very real way. I promise, God won’t break. In fact, I’d dare to say that God is looking forward to that conversation.
One prayer, with time to listen …
Thanks for joining in this Divine feast.
In Christ
