How’s it been going? Ready for a break? If so then today’s Holy Nougat™ should strengthen you
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 KJV
Is there stuff that is weighing you down? Have you been laboring and not been able to see the end anywhere in the distance? Do you need a break from the trials and the vicissitudes of life?
Then, look no further. Jesus, our Friend, Saviour, and Brother, has offered respite for each and every burden we bear. The only requirement, that we come.
Having acknowledged Jesus as the Christ, we are already strategically placed to receive Christ’s strength. I know, many times I’ve felt that ‘this thing’ doesn’t work; not pausing to remember that Christ’s intervention is not a thing. Rather, it is the understanding that Christ is at work for us. So are we ready to believe, and in believing, ready to receive?
Come. Take the burdens with you. Leave it at the altar when you go. Enter in the joy of Christ’s rest.
