Nougat 16

Greetings my dears

The allergy season is in full swing and yesterday I was well dosed. Naturally, despite the non-drowsy label, I am still sleepy. How are you keeping?

Have you ever wondered whether you were worthy enough to make it to heaven?

Today’s Holy Nougat™ sheds some light.

This amazed them. But Jesus said again, “Dear children, it is very hard to enter the Kingdom of God. Mark 10:24 NLT

What makes access to God’s kingdom seem so impossible?

Could it be that it cannot be bought – it’s far costlier than the most precious gem and even then it’s not about money.

Could it be that it cannot be taught – the depths of God’s nature is such that we cannot impress God by our knowledge of God’s kingdom, unless our lives reflect internalising what we know.

Could it be gifted to us and available solely by Faith … And that’s the challenge. Because our natural selves would prefer to “earn” access, and hardly ever through legitimate methods.

But if our righteousness is as filthy rags to God, then it stands to reason that access has little to do with us. It’s really about God. Yes. It really is God’s grace which provides access to God’s kingdom. So how about us accepting the gift?

Interestingly, when we begin to enjoy the benefits of God’s kingdom (which is so different from the empires we see round about us), we may find an overwhelming desire to share what we’ve experienced with others. That’s awesome!

Do that.

And remember, it’s not about our gifts. Access to God’s house is God’s gift to us. Let’s receive it with joy!

God bless you immensely today, and thanks for joining in this Divine feast.

In Christ’s love and grace
