All things are working for my good, God’s intentional, intentional, yeah Good day to you and yours,
How are you keeping? And before you answer, consider the faith response as well as the natural. Again, I ask, how are you keeping? Let us remember the people of Zimbabwe today -subsequent to yesterday’s quiet coup.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
His disciples said to him, “Look at this crowd pressing around you. How can you ask, ‘Who touched me?’” While he was still speaking to her, messengers arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. They told him, “Your daughter is dead. There’s no use troubling the Teacher now.” Mark 5:31, 35 NLT
En route the synagogue leader’s house, Jesus stops to attend to someone touching him. Have you ever stopped to consider that people regularly touched Jesus’s clothing in to the quest for healing? If that holds true, then feeling virtue leave His body should not have been a strange event for Jesus. And, in consideration of the fact that Jesus daughter was exceptionally ill, perhaps he could have ignored the touch; just that once.
Unless this was significant in other ways. The strengthening of Jairus’ faith perhaps. When you return to the longer story, you may note that Jesus is excited by the desperate woman’s strong faith. Could that be the link between the two healings? Might Her faith have impacted Jairus’? We do not hear of Jairus complaining or actually registering dismay upon hearing the news of his daughter’s death, although we assume it’s so.
Now as we revert to our own situations, what have we placed before God’s throne in the name of Jesus, thought we saw breakthrough coming, and have now discovered that it’s dead? A done deal with no hope of resuscitation even via life support. And, have we seen others receiving their breakthrough, seemingly at our expense? Is it time to hunker down on our faith having consulted Jesus and received a yes for our miracle? Remember, with God ALL things are possible!
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
