Hi

Please receive today’s Holy Nougat

For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Isaiah 43:19 NLT

New year, new thing.

Isn’t that marvellous? Not only is God doing something new with and for us, but we are also promised that God will make the way. Whether by forging a brand new way through adversity or making the accompaniment to that which God is about to do.

As Creator, our God is always occupied with doing new things, regardless of the time of year. But as the seasons of our lives shift, we experience God’s intervention at different times and in different ways. Plus we often lose focus, and are challenged to see what God is doing, even in our own lives.

Could it be an opportunity for us to invite God to open our eyes? So that we can see the new thing, or the stream in our desert. (For some like me, we may need swimming lessons! ) Maybe we just need to request an increase in our faith (since we walk by faith and not sight).

Maybe, like the desperate mother, we need a clear sense of God’s timing. Or we need a paradigm shift about our identity. But so long as we are not sensing God’s presence in our midst, it’s definitely time for a new thing.

I pray that our connection is strengthened or restored in this new season of new things.

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
