An invitation to love awaits us in today’s Holy Nougat

“But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

What a joy it is to know that we are loved by our Creator! I know, I know – the nougat didn’t outrightly use the word love yet I assure you that it’s there. We are all been lovingly created by YHWH, the One Who transcends time and space, and has always been with us.

As our Creator, God not only loves us; but God also knows us even better than we do know ourselves. God knows what hurts us, what brings us joy, what distresses us, what excites us, what tickles us silly, what angers or discomfits us, what fascinates us, what frustrates us, what encourages us, what empowers us, what worries us, what teaches us and what gives us peace.

Whether we are twins or not, God opted to make each of us our own unique selves. There is no one else exactly like us. We have our own individual minds that can reason independently, and we alone can determine whether we choose to believe in God’s existence. For, despite knowing us inside out, God has gifted each of us the right to choose God’s ways. It is part of what makes us special.

Do we choose God and God’s way simply on the basis of God being our Creator? Or are we insisting on current proof of God’s love for us? There’s always the Love of Jesus if we’re seeking proof. But can we love, honor and obey God simply because God’s our Creator? Let’s begin with worship.

May all we seek be found in Christ
