Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
“so he explained it to them: “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep.” John 10:7 NLT
If Jesus is the Gate, and we’re the sheep; then life is Good! Because when the Gate is shut; NOTHING has access to the sheep. Whatever is in remains In! And we are the sheep in His fold.
Perhaps the real problem is that we now feel as if we are more than sheep. That we are qualified to be the Gatekeeper or the Gate and make the selection of Who qualifies as sheep. Not our job! Above our calling! We are qualified to invite others into the fold.
The Gatekeeper makes all determining choices and we are told that there are even sheep belonging to this fold whom we might not recognize. Can we then choose to recognize where we are and Who is in control and allow Him to retain that control?
Lord help us accept each other as searching, seeking, wandering sheep in need of our Master’s touch. May our lives and lifestyle Draw others to The Fold with You as the Gate we pray, in Jesus Christ amen
