What to do when everything seems to be going wrong despite our every effort? How do we process evil in the face of a loving, giving God? How do we treat with today’s Holy Nougat
“Again there was a day when the sons of God (angels) came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan (adversary, accuser) also came among them to present himself before the LORD.” JOB 2:1 AMP
In our PostChristian, PostModern contexts, this Nougat may seem preposterous. But what if it were possible? What if the enemy of our souls was gathering evidence against us to petition God for our lives? Would we be worthy subjects when Satan sought to tempt somebody? And more critically, might God’s response be as confident as with Job?
Sometimes I think not. And yet, the Accuser is still at it, pressing for us to ‘curse God and die’. Today, I wish to urge us as believers to counter the enemy’s plan with our praise. Let’s prove God right this time around. And, who knows, as we praise we may find ourselves focusing on the One who is able to keep us, and not on our (untenable) circumstances.
