Nougat 15

Hi

Yesterday there was yet another mass shooting in the USA. This time at a Florida high school. I’m confident that some folks may choose to leave; but how many times, how many places does one move to before someone effects real change. Migrants rushing from whatever trials in their homeland – and the apathy gets more intense with each new day. How many lives lost before we make the difference? Perhaps we all need a Mordecai to wake us up lest we all perish. Chew slowly as we meditate on today’s Holy Nougat™

Mordecai sent this reply to Esther: “Don’t think for a moment that because you’re in the palace you will escape when all other Jews are killed.

Esther 4:13 NLT

Sometimes it gets really tempting to pretend that the troubles others face are exclusive, thereby justifying our apathy. But life isn’t always like that. And some trials are universal. Today it’s gun control, tomorrow diseases and super viruses threaten, the next day abuse and the cycle goes on and on.

Until someone intervenes

Until someone not only realizes that s/he is not exempt from life’s troubles; and is willing to be the change needed today. A person who will heed God’s call to be a change agent in a world of flux, having counted the cost.

Is it you?

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
