Some of us are as calm as a Dynamo pumping water by a catchment area. Especially when things are not going right. And as bad as our situations are, it’s hard to top Moses leading the Children of Israel out of Egypt and finding themselves stuck at the bank of the big Red Sea!
Talk about stuck
The devil Pharaoh was on their backs, and Irma has not yet happened. There might have been a few puddles being formed, but being calm was probably NOT the priority of any Israelites right then. They were PANICKING!
I’ve been there. And being calm was the last thing on my mind.
But along comes our God. Our God who parts seas just looked the beach-lines have been parted from some Caribbean areas. And it is OUR God, mighty to deliver and powerful to save who fought the battles; fights the battles and continues to be the Victor of all battles, past, present and future.
Think we can trust this All-Powerful, Almighty God to handle our battles? First God’s got to fight us, and then maybe, just maybe, we might be still?
Well, today I’m declaring, “Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven” as many times as it will take for me to stop fighting God and be still.
