I pray you well. Ever been stuck trying to explain Christmas? Consider today’s Holy Nougat

“When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.” Romans‬ ‭5:6‬ ‭NLT

And that right there is the message of the Christmas story. It’s about a Love so deep; that chose to live as we do; to enter our spaces of brokenness and rescue us. It’s about a Love so wide, Love forgave us while stretched out dying, on the Cross. It’s about a Love so high; Love descended into Hell to rescue those trapped before ascending into Heaven to intercede for each of us. That is what Christmas truly is about.

And Advent asks us to prayerfully focus on the gift/blessing of Christmas and prepare to love the original Christmas gift even more. And of course, we share the story of God’s deep and abiding Love with those who might have forgotten that they too are loved.
