As servants of God; for whom do we work? And what does that mean in our daily routines? Consider today’s Holy Nougat
“Whatever you do, work at it from the soul, as for the Lord and not for people.”
Colossians 3:23 TLV
There is a tendency amongst us to be people pleasers; to act according to what we think Others expect from us, and not necessarily opting to be our authentic selves. Of course, that is contrary to God’s desire for our lives, especially when most of the time we don’t necessarily treat God in a similar manner.
If we were to determine that whatever we do must first glorify or please God, we may find that life is a whole lot less stressful in the process. For God calls us As We Are. And as our relationship deepens we will lean more and more towards being like God.
In reflection of our stewardship for the last 18 months, how have our actions been? Have we shortchanged God in any way? And if so, what will we do about it? Perhaps one consideration is about our mindset – are we operating from our points of passion? Are we grumbling about the task before us?
Just some considerations for us as we chew today …
