From Adulation and Praise to Persecution in one fell swoop. It’s not always easy to handle the switch between the two extremes from those who are under our charge. However, it is critical to note that Paul didn’t relinquish his stance.
How about us? When we are faced with intentionally critical spirits in the face of our dedicated ministry before the Lord, it may sometimes be a challenge to accept this. My dears holding steadfast is not an option, especially in the face of persecution or peril. For, truth be told, we are called to live outside of life in the flesh, were corruptible becomes incorruptible through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Opposition will come. That is as definite as death and taxes. How we respond to opposition may vary in response to the extremity of our experiences. Like Paul, we KNOW how the story ends; even when the middle is blurry, bloodshot, fuzzy or painful. And because of the end, because we HAVE OVERCOME, we rejoice even in our suffering, giving glory to the Author and Finisher of our faith.
