I remember being annoyed when folks would suddenly remember the name of the Lord in stressful moments. Sometimes, my annoyance was warranted. At other times, the persons were virtually crying out for help from the Sure Source regardless of their religious persuasion.
What do you do in times of trouble? Upon whom do you lean? Food for thought a you meditate upon today’s Holy Nougat™
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 KJV
Of course, there are different kinds of salvation. There’s spiritual salvation from eternal damnation; but there’s also salvation as protection from danger or healing. The good news is, when we call upon the name of the Lord, there’s salvation for whatever we’re facing.
Moreover, Jesus promised rest from the burdens and stressors which come our way.
Sounds like grounds for a praise party to me! And, as we praise, we anticipate God’s intervention in our circumstances.
Lord, as we praise, may we find ourselves and our shelter in You through Your Secret Place. We give You all the glory and the praise, in Jesus’s name Amen
