I’ve found a friend, of such a Friend, He loves me were I knew Him, for I ask His and He is mine, and all my love is due Him …

Greetings to one and all. Did you realize that you have that friend too? And that that Friends had ensured that we have full-time company for all time? Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™

And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. 1 John 4:13 NLT

What an amazing gift! The Holy Spirit given to us just do that we’ll believe the depth of our relationship. That’s some mighty powerful love!

So what do we do with the gift of the Holy Spirit, other than pretend that we have not received such an amazing gift?!

Perhaps we begin with thanksgiving, being grateful for such abiding Love. Then perhaps, determining what pleases and also what grieves the Holy Spirit, so that our relationship may be as pure and perfect as humanly-divinely possible (think David, Paul, Deborah).

Having becoming intimately acquainted with the Divine personhood of the Holy Spirit, we would be more than keen to discover which of the multiplicity of gifts are ours for the manifesting. The Holy Spirit THRIVES on operating through and with us as a testimony of God’s presence in our lives. So while the tests will pile on, we are strengthened to overcome through the power of the Holy Spirit. We might find that this dawning awareness of the Holy Spirit’s presence WITHIN will realize a shift in our thoughts and actions; but that’s primarily our choice. We have to determine the extent of the relationship. No one else can make that decision for us, except for God.

It begins with us, for having received Jesus as Lord, Friend and Savior, the Holy Spirit has been living for the moment when we open ourselves to this greater intimacy.

What say you today? (Sssshhh! Don’t tell me; just live the Gift)

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
