Reflection for May 13
But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and ask these things will be given to You as well. Mt 6:33
I’m wanting to split this reflection in three parts, as it seems I’ve been getting extended thoughts on life with the Spirit.
Recently the Lord and u have been having very intense (almost today one-sided) conversations about several issues with which I’ve been grappling. Needless to say, despite all my argumentative skills, I’ve lost. Yet in the midst of losing multiple times, I’ve had a clear sense of being to walk within God’s will and purpose, despite my natural desires (hence my losing the battle).
To strive or seek, is to ardently go after something with the clear intent of accessing it. So in the midst of my wrestling, I’ve still sought to access heaven, God’s kingdom. Many times, the quest fails to line You with what I want to do, but I find myself yielding to God. Because ultimately, being in God’s presence means more to me than everything.
You are probably wondering what that has translated to, not to worry. In time you’ll hear the essence of my discoveries.
