Nougat 13

A few challenges in our prayer journey? May I invite a reflective chew on today’s Holy Nougat?

“Now the eleven disciples went to the Galilee, to the mountain Yeshua had designated. When they saw Him, they worshiped; but some wavered.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:16-17‬ ‭TLV‬‬

It’s not that they didn’t follow instructions. They all obeyed Jesus and met Him on the mountain. Every single one of the remaining disciples turned up. Operatively they were being obedient, but some were following orders, not one thing else. Now, it’s possible that they had been preoccupied with the why of meeting with Jesus. What they should have been focusing on was The Who!

Can you just imagine us meeting with Jesus at a designated time and place, and instead of worshipping, we’re preoccupied with every single other detail?! Oops; we already do. (Well some of us are guilty of that). Unfortunately it is way too common in some of our lives. We’re distracted by STUFF and lose our on quality time with Jesus. We’re tired and fail to be engaged fully in the moment.

Is It time for us to remember Who Jesus is, so we can worship in spirit and in truth? Or maybe it’s time to let go of the distractions, including the burdens we are wanting to get rid of, and simply worship Jesus wherever we are.
