God doesn’t only care about one aspect of our lives. God cares about the whole person. The critical bit though, is to recognize that some of the work lies with us. We can’t say God wants me well and proceed to be a couch potato, veg out on food that is unhealthy for us (each person’s system is different), feed our minds on junk and persistently practice unhealthy behavior.
Nope.
There is the matter of discipline and respect for this temple God has created us to be. We are the specially selected earthen vessel which God has selected to place the treasure called Jesus! Awesomeness
We are the simple lamps in which God has selected to pour the fragrant oil of the Holy Spirit, so others might be drawn by the glow of God’s divine fire when we are set ablaze after we engage the Spirit in our lives.
And yes, God does work with us when we are not at peak. But when mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health is within our control; let us Choose to hand the reins to Jesus and allow God’s glory to be revealed.
Of course, we might not have control over some aspects of our health and well-being. And for those of us who are unwell mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually; I pray us healed and restored in Jesus Christ.
