Nougat 13

Hello

How do you cope with being the odd one out? Are you embracing your individualism, or cringing at being different?

Allow that thought to marinate as we indulge in today’s Holy Nougat™

“But when the king came in to meet the guests, he noticed a man who wasn’t wearing the proper clothes for a wedding. Matthew 22:11 NLT

This passage has always been hard for me to process. For everything seemed fine, with no problems. Until he appears. Dressed differently. It was no big deal to me, except that it caused quite a commotion.

A question which bothered me –

* When did the others change their clothes?

(Remember, these guests were taken from the highways and byways because the invited guests declined to attend. They would not have just had formal attire sitting around waiting!)

Until it dawned on me. New clothing was provided for the quests prior to entry in the Great Feast.

This guest CHOSE to dress differently; in a manner that highlighted his disdain for the Great Feast. An insult to the host for sure.

What about you and I? How have we responded to the offer to dine in that Great Feast? Let’s ensure that we seek to keep the approval of our Host, for in this instance it really is a matter of life and death. What will we choose to be?

Thanks for joining us in this Divine feast

God bless you
