For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. Romans 8.7
This verse has been on my spirit since last evening, inviting us (including me) to do a quick spirit check. For, inasmuch as we are saved by God’s Grace through our faith in Jesus Christ, we also tend to yield to our human nature which throws off our spiritual alignment; leaving us unbalanced
So let’s pause for our check up
Disposition – Son shiny/Scattered outbursts of moodiness
Praise levels – High/Moderate/Whatpraise
Prayer life – Without ceasing/Continuous/Soon get around to it
Obedience to the Holy Spirit – Extremely active/Kinda getting tbere/YOLO
Our responses, if honest, should help us determine whether we are hostile to God’s laws
Lord, forgive our hostility to you and help us obey your precepts. In Jesus’s name Amen
