Have you ever wondered how some folks manage through seasons of trial? While I cannot speak for all; I speak for many in declaring; “Only God!” That’s a testimony of ever there was one. And, it places us in pretty good company. We sit alongside Hall of Faithers whose journeys involved trials of varying proportion and intensity. Through it all, like us they remained steadfast; perhaps responding with today’s Holy Nougat to anyone who cared to observe
“Jehovah is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.” Lamentations 3:24 ASV
For my dears, it’s not that trials disappear because YHWH is our portion; it is that we have an added recourse in the face of any trial. Our reason to Hope poured out like medicine from the Cross. Strictly for Love’s sake. And through the power of Love, we act on the Hope!
I pray that whatever you face in this season loses strength as you affirm Who sustains you and in Whom your hope is built
