Nougat 12

Published on

Hello

Two friends were chatting about life and one noted that although Christians sometimes take time off from living the faith, the enemy of our souls never takes a break.

A few days later, another friend was reminded of the nature of God … From a student’s name. The name meant, “God never sleeps”. When this was shared with the first friend who was in the middle of putting out several spiritual forest fires, it served to bring well needed calm to the believer.

Today’s Holy Nougat™ is another reminder of God’s presence with us in troubling times.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Psalms 121:3 KJV

Does the knowledge that God is always on the job bring calm in your storms? Is it easy to understand the nature of God when our worlds are shattering round about us?

How do you encourage one whose faith waxes dim when Life gets overwhelming? Prayer changes perspective; but we might also need to be visible and enabling support to those in crisis as we are led by the Holy Spirit.

I pray that our lives serve to remind others that God never sleeps, especially in their times of trouble.

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
