The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. 1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT

Temptations they will come. BUT, there’s a getaway clause. If we’re willing, alert, interested. The issue is, for something to be a temptation, it must offer sooner level of attraction to us. And if it is attractive, the Way Out may not be so readily visible to us in the moment.
So where does that leave us, yielding and seeking grace eventually; or recognising our vulnerabilities and inviting God to rescue us via the Way Out.
One might be inclined to ask what or who is The Way Out, but while I agree that Jesus is The Way, I believe that the Way Out refers to that which offers us an escape, and so may vary according to our circumstance. What remains constant, is God’s ability to rescue us regardless of the temptation. That’s where the who comes in.
So, when temptations seek to do us in, let’s turn to The One who keeps us from falling, so that we find The Way Out with ease, before escape becomes less appealing.
