Nougat 11

Now today’s Holy Nougat focus requires some chewing. But it could be a life transformer.

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:38‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Not even our Fears can separate us from God’s love. And we have so many of them

– of abstract things

– of inanimate objects

– of specific animals

– of what is said by others

– of people (specific and general)

– of the unknown

… if we are to name a few

I remember the day I discovered that fear can be demonic; and how I then allowed fear to cripple me. By the time fear was done with me, it’s a marvel I wasn’t also scared of my shadow.

But

By God’s grace I overcame. For while some folks ridiculed my fears, God’s love delivered me. Just like the psalmist said in Psalm 34:4. Just like Jesus assures us in Matthew 28:18, 20: that all power and authority has been given to Him, thus He is with us ALWAYS! Not only when we aren’t fearful, but always. And He proved His power and authority over fear by taking the bite out of the things people feared.

So yes! Christ’s love transcends even our greatest fear. 1 Peter 5:7, puts it plainly

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” ‭‭

How about we do just that – hand our fears over to Him Who loves us despite them all?
