Hello

Here’s today’s Holy Nougat

“Now he is exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us, just as you see and hear today.” Acts of the Apostles 2:33 NLT

God’s Spirit poured out as on Pentecost, is ours for the asking. Separate from the gifts which could be evidenced, there is the aspect of Bible promises regarding God’s Spirit- in Amos, we are assured dreams, visions and a prophetic voice. In the Gospels we’re assured clarity of speech, accompaniment wherever we go, comfort, representation (advocacy), and training. Best of all, God’s Spirit chooses to live within us, so honestly, we are never alone.

Of course, it doesn’t always feel that way. But the assurance that God is so intimately near is a real Comfort in lonely or troubling times. Moreover, it assures those of us who are a bit cautious about spiritual gifts or with manifestations of the power of God’s Spirit that there’s more to be sought.

As we strive for balance, we may conclude that there is scope in our lives for manifested gifts of God’s Spirit. It is my hope that we will also desire the fulfillment of God’s promises in our hearts directly at all times.

Good morning
