Nougat 11

Published on

Hello

Sometimes when I read God’s Word, my brain sees and hears it in some intriguing ways. Today’s Holy Nougat urged me to consider social media lifestyles, and how we treat with those in our circles. Is there something we ought to do differently?

“But Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the Lord. He went down to the port of Joppa, where he found a ship leaving for Tarshish. He bought a ticket and went on board, hoping to escape from the Lord by sailing to Tarshish.” Jonah 1:3 NLT

It is as though Jonah ‘unfriended’ God when struck by the enormity of God’s magnanimity toward the Ninevites. Especially upon realizing God intended to use him, Jonah!

Sometimes I think we all unfriend God, thinking our act it will cause God to conform to our ‘needs’. Even when we know on a literal, logical level that God is not easily manipulated. But on the emotional level we forget.

What if God were to unfriend each of us individually? For every infraction we committed? Considering that we have a sense of where God’s heart is, yet do our own thing? What if we didn’t realize until it was too late?

Yet, in spite of us, God LOVES each of us. Even when we act like Jonah! Through the muck and the mess. We can’t ‘escape’ God’s presence so easily!

Lords

Even when I take the wings of the morning, You are here! Thanks so much! Continue to be my Strength; to be my Song, my Sustenance, my Substance! Wherever and no matter whatever; keep me close to Your breast I pray, in the name of Y’shua

Amen

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
