Hello there
After grasping that God is our God, Who claims us and desires to bless us, we ought to enjoy today’s Holy Nougat. (Did so say ‘party time’?)
“There you and your families will feast in the presence of the Lord your God, and you will rejoice in all you have accomplished because the Lord your God has blessed you.” Deuteronomy 12:7 NLT
When last have you feasted in God’s presence? Not just been in God’s presence but recognized the abundance of blessings available to all and chosen to enjoy them? When last have you assessed and celebrated all that God has blessed you with?
I am overdue
For, even if that celebration was yesterday, God’s mercies are renewed daily. Feasting upon God’s blessings must be intentional, as we run the risk of missing God’s presence in our lives. Perhaps we need to jumpstart the praise party by identifying one breakthrough of recent time or one accomplishment which came unexpectedly and see the hand of God in it.
Being a spiritual miser is actually a miserable way to be. We fail to recognize that YHWH Shammah is with us and desires that we celebrate and share our blessings. For if God is also YHWH Yireh (Jehovah Jireh), then God’s provision for tomorrow is secured. We don’t need to hoard. Like manna, we feast on as much of God’s blessings as we need!
And since we know our God is with us, strengthens us and upholds us, we have reason to throw off despair, fear and even brokenness! Hallelujah
What joy!
Come on folks; it’s time to party
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
