Nougat 11

Published on

Hi

I woke with a burden for someone and pray that today’s Holy Nougat and the reflection will minister to you

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20 NLT

Recently I was reading Lazarus’ story and thinking to myself that the way God answers prayers does not always comply with human expectations. And that applies to literal life and death scenarios as well as ordinary issues.

Just think, Where were you when God’s ‘infinitely more’ was effected in your life? How would you have dealt with the situation on your own? I recall being in Europe, thinking … ‘Yes! It’s in my favor’; and actually making things worse. I was devastated. I even forgot the miracle which assured me that God was on MY case. All I could see was another closed door.

But God saw the bigger picture and one thing led to another and another and after ‘4 days’ (more like 4 years!!!) God accomplished more than I could ever hope or imagine. Right on time. With a few extra miracles thrown in for loving measure. I didn’t like it then; but I appreciate God’s wait now.

Yours might be the opposite. Being called to move now; like Abram was called out. Rest assured that our God who calls us to the unexpected is capable of taking us through to the unprecedented! Oh yes indeedy. Or you might be in a rut- like Gideon or Hannah or Rahab- just before God intervened. Usually then God’s mighty move goes way beyond human expectations – taking a coward to lead a battle; producing a child in a season of barrenness; or moving past comfort to become a renegade missionary! Those are not fairytales, those are snippets of God’s every day routine. A routine that includes each of us!!!

So let’s think. Think BIG. Prayerfully think and watch to see what our God shall do … immeasurably more. Guaranteed!

Hallelujah

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
