Hello
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.” 1 Corinthians 16:23 ASV
This is my heart prayer for each of you. May this grace which overlooks our faults and foibles, forgives us and overshadows us through the resurrection power be our strength over the weekend and revive us for the week ahead.
I’m feeling led to pray with you today especially. If you have a desire to talk, I am here. If you wish prayer, I am praying.
Hope we’re all together tomorrow and next week!
Go in Christ’s love-

Hello
Shortly before my nephew died, I had a niggle of a toothache. Having just visited the dentist less than a fortnight prior, I KNEW that it was related to the dentist’s caution so I babied the ache and it eventually stopped. When my nephew died, the pain returned and I couldn’t determine whether it was stress-grief, sinusitis or a real toothache. I consulted my dentist ‘daughter’, but the timing was off. So I rescheduled, and rescheduled the reschedule … and didn’t get around to it.
Some time later the pain returned with a brutality that couldn’t be ignored. I consulted said daughter, she had no idea of what the potential ‘root’ cause could be. But we agreed (well, I kinda insisted that I would visit the dentist ASAP). I prayed and got a little ease. However, the next morning it was back to misery. The unscheduled dental appointment was back on!
There, the dentist explained what the trigger was and explained that delay in addressing the ache resulted in the root and gum becoming infected – antibiotics and painkillers were my portion. I woke up in the night in pain with the tooth throbbing – somehow, I had managed to position my jaw in a way that aggravated the sore spot. Eyes wide open, there was one alternative left; ask God what lesson there was in this ‘wonderful’ ache which now consumed my entire being –
That’s how unforgiveness and anger works at times my dear. If you don’t address the issue at the earliest moment, it festers and infects your ENTIRE body. Sometimes you even come to me about it, but you manage to forget to address the root issue. That’s why I urged you to make right with those whom you feel are hurting from real or perceived wrongs credited against you.’
As always, God’s pep talk helped me get it. Hence the reminder from today’s Holy Nougat
“Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give place to the devil.” Ephesians 4:26-27 ASV
… for those who have ears to hear, may forgiveness be our portion.
