For the locals here in Tanzania, worship is lively and praise-filled. Even when the songs are slow-paced, one senses the passion behind the acts and voices united in worship. The ministers suggest that this is a direct response to the people’s openness to lauding the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Galatians 5:25 NLT
Living by the Spirit is energized. Living by the Spirit is sacrificial. Living by the Spirit is fulfilling and frustrating. Living by the Spirit is radical.
This act of living by the Spirit is more than just speaking in tongues or being passionate during the gathering of the saints. It is worship; involving the ‘Liturgy after the Liturgy’ (that is; the faith response to the gathered experience). Sometimes this may be acknowledging and obeying that still small Voice; especially for tasks which defy human comprehension or acceptance. For, that is how God operates. (And yes my Jamaican/Caribbean folks; sometimes that involves acknowledging ‘little voice’ which speaks to our hearts).
Stop for a moment and consider, what has the Spirit been saying recently? What tools and resources are we expecting from God?
May God’s grace continue to sustain us as we move according to the Holy Spirit. (Whether it is the jumping like the Masai, the spirited move in the gathered community,; or being available for others in need). In Christ’s love and grace . . .
