Nougat 10

Published on

Greetings my dears

Today’s Holy Nougat applies to each of us who has ever failed to keep it real.

“No one needed to tell him about human nature, for he knew what was in each person’s heart.” John 2:25 NLT

Sometimes I think I would rather that God not have access to what I’ve been thinking. Because seriously, it’s not quite God-worthy. But then, it’s not quite the thought life that matters – it’s what is left percolating in our hearts.

It’s rough isn’t it, maintaining God’s quo to the world, knowing that behind the smile is a completely different person. If folks saw our thoughts sometimes, they would run for their lives! God does. Whether we’re genuine, fake, trying, lonely, weary, desperate or depressed. God does.

And even when our actions don’t correlate with our hearts, God cares about our true selves. The bits and pieces we’d rather keep locked away.

I think that today; God desires to unite our separated selves. To remove our spiritual schizophrenic behavior and align our hearts and actions with God’s. Not to change us beyond our own recognition; but to unearth our best selves as the masterpieces we truly are.

But that goes against us locking ourselves away or compartmentalizing. For, to complete the Masterpiece, God needs official access – just like a surgeon or a sculptor.

Knowing us is half the issue; having access to help us shine … God’s waiting! In Christ’s love and grace . . .
