Thanks to all who fasted or prayed at midday yesterday. I believe that things have changed, although we might not see the manifestation as yet. Let us continue to be prayerful against violence of every kind in the world.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
Herod wanted to kill John, but he was afraid of a riot, because all the people believed John was a prophet. Matthew 14:5 NLT
Herod, the ruler of the Hebrew peoples, on pause because he THOUGHT the people would revolt if he have in to his desires?! They’ve gotta be kidding right. They don’t know what he was actually thinking. But what if … Suppose that’s not postulation, but actual fact? That would suggest that the masses do possess bargaining power. Power to stop even a self assured leader such as Herod.
So. Reverting to our reflection yesterday, if one chases a thousand, and two ten thousand; could we, the praying masses, incite fear in the hearts of those who are sold out to criminal activities? I believe we can. But first, Unity.
Instead of looking at what makes us different globally, regionally, nationally, denominationally or ethnically; let us focus on combining efforts so that the Herods of our time will think twice about committing atrocities, whether they be pastors, police, politicians, petty or hardened criminals.
May God’s grace be ours as we seek to transform our world in Christ’s power.
