Hello

I’m told that when information is downloaded onto a computer’s hard drive, it is there until forcibly removed. Can you imagine if that holds true for our heart-drives! Consider today’s Holy Nougat

“Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.”

Colossians 3:16 NLT

According to Google, a message is ‘a significant political, social, or moral point that is being conveyed by a film, speech, etc.’ In the original text, it’s not the ‘message ‘ but the ‘Logos’. This refers to Christ Himself, the preached word, doctrines or divine order. In essence, the profoundly divine doctrine.

If we were to read the preceding verses, we note that the general train of thought related to mindfulness about the Christ-ian lifestyle in the face of adversity and despair. So the Pauline writer recommended:

Pursue the goal – heaven, so adversity doesn’t allow you to lose focus;

Avoid retaliatory approaches of the past and Live the new nature by discarding anger, rage, malice, slander and cuss words

Dress in the Christly nature – compassion kindness humility gentleness patience and forgiveness

Overlay with God’s Love

Walk in Christ’s Peace

Embrace the message

What then, is the message about Christ and how do we download into our daily lives? It begins with His divinity, His salvific work (Christ means Messiah), His grace and His Love. That is, Christ is God become human to rewrite our wrongs; and offer each of us infinite second chances by the Power of forgiveness because of His Love.

When we consider all that we have thought about and actually said or done which SHOULD have guaranteed us a One-Way ticket to damnation; can we even doubt that Love? In allowing the immensity and the awesomeness of this Love to be absorbed within; the adversity we face from time to time should become a little less stressful.

But first; let’s download this important knowledge of Christ unto our heart-drive.

God bless us all

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
