Meditative Prayer

Published on

Today’s Holy Nougat invites us to meditative prayer. May the prayer that accompanied the Nougat speak peace to us all.

Matthew 6:34 CEB

[34] Therefore, stop worrying about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Let us Pray

Lord

You assure us that worries don’t add even a single benefit to our lives.

Yet we worry – about today, about tomorrow, for others, for ourselves, and for things that we don’t even understand.

Forgive us, Lord, for worrying says that we don’t trust You, that we question Your power to deliver, that we doubt Your Love for us. And that is so far from the truth.

The Gospels, which present snippets of Your life and ministry, are very clear in chronicling the extent to which You involved Yourself in the ordinary and seemingly mundane details of human life.

We remember

1- the multiplication of food; reminding us that You are Jireh and Manna

2- the Canaan wedding miracle; assuring us that You are Creator: You create anything out of nothing

3- the payment of taxes to Cesar; telling us You are El Shaddai: the all-sufficient One Who cancels debts

4- the various healings; confirming that You’re Rapha: the God Who heals

5- the calming of the storms; proving that Your omnipotence: your power over nature

6- the blessing of the children; when You claimed them all as special gifts loved by You

7- the many meals You had with outcasts; making them visible, proving they matter … comforting the forsaken

8- Your Great Sacrifice at Calvary – so we Know, beyond the Shadow of a Doubt that Death is defeated; the Battle’s already Won, and that in You, We Are More Than Conquerors

Hallelujah

Worry! You have been defeated! Get out of our way – Remove yourself from our minds immediately, in the name of Y’shua. You no longer have power over our lives. Whatever you’re coming with Worry, Y’shua has already countered and conquered it.

So Y’shua, today we surrender:

Our thought lives to You,

Our cares over to You,

The things unknown to You

Things present into Your hands

Things yet to come also to You

Our families – to You

Our friends – to You

Our studies – to You

Our work – to You

Our relationships – to You

Our places of worship – to You

Our Lives and salvation – to You

Into Your hands, dear Y’shua, today and forever. Amen

May all we seek be found in Christ
