Howdy do,
Have you every seen yourself as an unfinished masterpiece? It’s not accidental. That’s who we are. Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
Philippians 1:6 NLT
Can you picture our God as Master Sculptor/Carver right now; chirping away and unearthing our full potential? Humming or whistling while molding and shaping, adjusting the plan to work away the warps in the base material (our sinfulness); yet lovingly fashioning our True Selves waiting to emerge? (I wonder whether this nougat was part of the motivation for the Pinocchio story? Hmmmm)
More importantly, what would you ask the Sculptor to mend? Is there a real issue that needs the Carver’s attention, or is it mere vanity? Are we willing to undergo the necessary spiritual whittling, sanding and acid treatment required for repairs? Do we trust that OUR Creator Knows exactly what we need and is committed and faithful to see us through?
God has begun the masterpiece called My Life – and yours yes and yours! Hallelujah! I’m still a WiP (i.e. awork in progress). And so are you. There’s more to come. It will get better. Time to celebrate God’s graciousness while yielding to the Master at work.
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
