When last have you checked on your giving to God? While this is a worthwhile endeavor, many of us need more solid encouragement. Perhaps today’s Holy Nougat™ might help
Finally the craftsmen who were working on the sanctuary left their work. They went to Moses and reported, “The people have given more than enough materials to complete the job the Lord has commanded us to do!” Exodus 36:4-5 NLT
This almost has the feel of a fantasy or sci-fi novel. Can you even picture it – folks giving to God to the extent that the officers of the worship community are obliged to say, “Enough”? In all my days I’ve never heard of nor experienced such a phenomenon; though I’d certainly love to be part of such.
But let’s imagine for a bit. Let’s say God had called each of us to give generously in support of God’s ministry. If that were to prove true and we were to live up to God’s expectations by giving generously -[over and beyond the requisite amounts] my! What joy!?
Could we each commit to contributing our best to God’s purpose today? And in the committing, might we also encourage others to do likewise.
Doable? Doable
