Hi dear
Today’s Holy Nougat offers some good news
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” John 1:5 NLT
It certainly doesn’t feel that way. Nevertheless if the glory of God cannot dispel or overcome the evils in our world, then we serve a dead God. I am wholly confident that I serve a living God; regardless of the various faces evil wears around us.
However, just as we are all included in God’s creative process; so it is that God offers us the chance to choose between good and evil. And that’s not always easy for us. For sometimes, it appears in disguise, and our choices are not based on reality or on fact. Moreover, we have some of us become apathetic to evil and our response reflects indifference. But
that carries its own dangers, for evil flourishes when good persons fail to act. And when us, God’s children fail to be agents of transformation; evil seems to flourish.
But God
For in the face of whichever evil there is, God’s justice prevails. The enslavement of Jews lasted for many a lifetime; but Moses accepted God’s call. Life in the wilderness was a shorter eternity; but there was a Promised Land. The crucifixion was over in hours – but there was the Resurrection few days later. God’s glory prevailed once again.
And God’s glory lives in each of us! We are invited to join our God in the creative process of transformation. Of being the difference our world needs. Whether or not we are acknowledged. For though the light may be ‘unrecognized’; it remains a force to be reckoned with, no matter how small!
Let’s allow our light to shine; so others may find respite from the splotches of evil along life’s way. Pretty soon; God’s glory will impact us all and evil cannot overwhelm that.
Good morning
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
