Have you ever sought a Word from the Lord and got a response that’s direct and to the point? Sometimes, the Lord does not mince words.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
This is what the Lord says: Be fair-minded and just. Do what is right! Help those who have been robbed; rescue them from their oppressors. Quit your evil deeds! Do not mistreat foreigners, orphans, and widows. Stop murdering the innocent! Jeremiah 22:3 NLT
Pretty straightforward yes.
In this instance, the King of Judah was actually minding his own business (not the Lord’s), when he received a direct message for himself and his people.
Pow! Listen. Obey. Repeat.
Sometimes God is very straightforward in communicating with us. Especially when we need to hear reason. Of course, when we have direct access to God’s Word, the message might not need to come from the mouth of a prophet.
Read. Reflect. Obey. Repeat.
