Hi
Let’s pause to consider what we believe as we prepare for confessional prayer
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
Then they scoffed, “He’s just the carpenter’s son, and we know Mary, his mother, and his brothers—James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas. Matthew 13:55 NLT
The townspeople’s comment could be read as shocked skepticism or maliciousness. In either case, it had the effect of uninviting Jesus. Sometimes it is important that we also watch what we confess about Jesus, as our thought life often impacts our prayer life which impacts the answers we receive
Confession is about acknowledging OUR sins, as well as speaking life into our situations.
How do we confess in the following situations
- Who is Jesus to you? What we believe will impact HOW we pray
- What does our lifestyle say about our faith? How we treat others had the potential to impact our being forgiven and also affects our credibility as follows of Christ
- Have we been speaking Life over our circumstances? Sometimes we are our own worst enemies. We speak negatively about ourselves, claiming things that should not be spoken over our lives [Like when we use never to suggest that it is not goodness and mercy which follow us; or we declare negative issues over our situations and then wonder why only bad things happen around us]
- What do we confess about our church and church leaders? We are instructed to respect those in authority. When we have sinned, we MUST be corrected. However, sometimes find that our treatment of those in leadership impacts how we treat God
May the Lord add insight and grace as we enter the Holy of Holies for prayer
Thank you for joining us in this Divine feast
God bless you
In Christ
