Hi everyone,
Special thanks to all of you who have been sharing the reflections with friends or adding to the group. May God’s glory be revealed. Essentially, these reflections are about God; thus allowing God to be in control. How do we deal with that?
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
“Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.”
Luke 5:5 NLT
If you say so … Ten letters, Four powerful little words. A clear indication of Faith in the SUBJECT of the conversation – i.e. Jesus. Simon KNOWS that the words of Jesus are enough reason to cast an empty net out. While he recognizes the limitations presented in the natural, he knows that Jesus is the ultimate game changer.
What does that mean when we’re seeking God’s direction for our own life situations? Are we open to God’s direction for our lives? Will we respond, “If you say so”
And when God invites us to simply trust?
Or in those shifting seasons of our lives (illness/disease, career shift, life happens)?
How do we respond when what is clear before us is not what Jesus offers … Can we in Faith simply answer,
If you say so?
Thanks for joining us in this Divine feast.
In Christ
