Hello, hello and hello one and all
It’s that time of year again when we prepare to celebrate the achievements of our kin, especially the younger ones as they complete their course of study or gain performance awards. This weekend was very special for me, with two of my dear ones undergoing such rites of passage; one graduating from seminary, the other being awarded scholarships and performance based prizes at school. Yup, I’m a very proud mama-bear/aunty. And I’m grateful to my children’s true parents for the honor of sharing in the shaping of my children’s lives.
On a much more pertinent note, here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
Since it was the Sabbath, Jesus’ enemies watched him closely. If he healed the man’s hand, they planned to accuse him of working on the Sabbath.

You know; there are times in life when it’s just time for celebration. Nothing else but that. One would have hoped that the onlookers were genuinely happy to know that the cripple was about to experience fullness of life. But no. They were fixated with the facts and how far the fact of healing deviated from the “Law”.
When legalism gains precedence over humanitarianism, we lose our faith and instead are ensnared by religiosity. It’s the kind of behavior that results in our lack of support for an entertainer who converts to Christianity (despite our judgemental attitudes), or our hesitance in restoring fellowship to a fallen saint after they have repented.
Yet, Jesus loves us despite our brokenness, and willingly breaks the taboos of legalism and religiosity to ensure our wellness. In fact, He turned legalism on its head that day just for one man’s healing.
Imagine what He’s doing for you and me! And He celebrates ALL our milestones too. Yup every single one.
Oh my Jesus! What a great God! Thanks Abba!
May we increase in knowledge of God who celebratesall our milestones and is willing to turn legalism on its head so that we might enjoy abundance.
