So how honest is your prayer life?
It actually takes a lot of Faith and courage to confess our doubts and fears to Jesus. No matter that we believe (on one level/in totality) in Christ’s omniscience.
Given our move to document our prayer requests as of yesterday; and what would be perceived as the church’s apparent lack of power to perform miracles on a sustained basis; could it be that part of the challenge to increased potency is our waning faith?
Would this be cause enough to say help my doubts please Lord?
Or perhaps it is of a more personal nature? Regardless! God is still able to hear and transform. When we think of honesty in our prayers, we may focus on the father’s cry. Although the dad sought to address his doubts, honesty before the Lord includes sharing our joys also. Are we open to baring our souls to the Lover of our Souls? What would such honesty sound/look like coming from us? How shocked would the Lord be at our honesty in this season?
