The human soul is created for worship. But the real test comes in WHAT/WHO we choose to worship.
Having received this profound vision of the end times, and having had the vision explained along the way by the Divine messenger, John was inclined to worship alongside the angels. BUT, he bowed down before the wrong god. He was about to impose God-status upon the Creature, rather than the Creator.
Unfortunately, this is a common error. We’re rescued from danger … Worship the visible rescuer.
We enjoy something a lot … Worship the thing
We’ve received a gift … Worship the gift or the giver (house, car, jewelry, you name it)
Someone stands up for us … Worship the person/s
Yet far often, we are challenged to even recognize our God who gives us Life and so many other wonderful gifts which we often take for granted?
What have we been worshipping unduly in our recent years?
Lord forgive us, and help us to worship You and You alone.
