Blessings one and all
Did you notice the link between worship and project yesterday? Let’s sample today’s Holy Nougat™ once again:
Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said, “No, don’t worship me. I am a servant of God, just like you and your brothers and sisters who testify about their faith in Jesus. Worship only God. For the essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus. ”
Revelation 19:10 NLT
If the essence of prophecy is to provide a clear witness for Jesus, then it means that those of us who prophesy must ensure that the glory is given to God and God alone.
How do we achieve that?
Firstly, we focus on God and God alone. It’s so very easy to get caught up in the pageantry and the prophecy and lose sight of the One who gifts us. When we keep the Main One the main One; THEN we will be able to ensure that God’s glory remains God’s.
Further, we speak/write as given by God; not based on our own understanding. Especially in cases when we’re in unknown/(non-neutral) territory, it is only too easy to try to speak FOR God, rather than AS DIRECTED BY God. Whose report do we testify of?
Most of all, we recall that we are not alone. There are others like us who are also on the journey. We need to connect with these persons so that we provide support for each other. And the glue which holds us together is Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit…
May all the glory be given to you dear Lord.
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
