“Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.”
Ephesians 4:32 NLT
So if kindness is defined by tenderness and God-style forgiveness; erm … how kind are we in reality?
Dear Jesus
Please unpack these concepts for us and reveal the depths of Your desire for our transformation. Help us ‘get’ that kindness for You isn’t about our vainglory, being (intentionally) caught doing good.
Rather it is about receiving Your Love and reciprocating that pure, grace-filled passion (willing to die for others) to the worst and also the least deserving.
Heal our brokenness please Jesus so that we might be able to receive and reciprocate in Love. Then others might experience Your ’hesed’; that is Your loving kindness through us.
Hear and forgive us bitterness we pray, name amen
