Overwhelmed with all surrounding us – today’s Holy Nougat invites us to take a praise break
““So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”

In other words, live in today, today. It sounds strange. Until we realize that our entire life has passed us by and we failed to live. For ‘if only’ has vey little value when the opportunity has passed.
The visits with family/loved ones; making times to enjoy the little things; or simply be in the moment. Creating memories and taking time to ‘dance in the rain’. So many have died without taking the time to live!
Tonight, the Jewish new year celebration begins. And amid the celebration, they also take the time to reflect. Despite it being the start of the year, the reflection turns inward as they attend to wrongs committed, and I’m sure, some of their ‘if only’s. Perhaps we should consider adopting this approach.
Now this isn’t to say we only live for the moment with no concern for our tomorrow. Oh no. Creation is already paying for that attitude. So yes, we live today so that our great grands may have their Today. We work, study, play, pray with a futuristic mindset. Oh yes, we do. That’s integral to our faith.
But literally worrying about that for which we have zero control – is a waste of good time. Some of us even conjure worst case scenarios and then begin unnecessary worry about such (of course I couldn’t be speaking from personal experience, right?!) And we get so het up; we fail to remember that God’s got this.
Gods got us
So even when things become worse than we imagined; it’s alright. For we are in Our Creator’s hands. And that’s a very powerful, capable Creator. Who loves us. Who’s got us.
No need to fret.
Take a praise break.
